Finance Officer

The Finance & Administrative Officer supports ACHR’s financial integrity and operational effectiveness by ensuring compliance, accuracy, and transparency across financial and administrative processes.

Working under the supervision of the Executive Director and in coordination with the Financial Controller, the Officer contributes to financial reporting, donor compliance, payroll coordination, and administrative systems in line with ACHR policies and applicable legal frameworks.


Responsibilities

  • Review and process financial transactions in line with internal policies
  • Ensure correct allocation across accounting systems and internal tools 
  • Monitor consultant contract execution, renewals, amendments, and closures
  • Prepare monthly internal financial reports and management dashboards
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Ensure proper financial documentation and archiving
  • Support audits and donor financial compliance  

Must Have

  • Bachelor Degree or Higher
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in finance and administrative roles
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel or any other accounting software 
  • Experience with donor-funded or grant-based projects  
  • Fluency in Arabic and English
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail

Nice to have

  • Experience working with international NGOs or human rights organisations
  • Additional languages
  • Familiarity with donor financial reporting requirements
  • Experience in remote or hybrid work environments
  • Knowledge of labor or tax compliance in France or similar jurisdictions
